Steampunk Frahnknshtyne interview

Hello Friends
Recently I had the great pleasure of meeting and speaking with Bruno Accioly, the gentleman who has created the Conselho Steampunk (the Steampunk Council) in Brazil. His organization is wonderfully structured to host and encourage the growth of independant chapters and they are doing many exciting Steampunk activities and promoting steampunk thought and ideas.
Bruno invited me to do a Steamcast Interview over skype and that interview is now posted for anyone who would like to hear more about Frahnknshtyne and its ongoing development. Hi everybody

This blog is a posting of sketches, concept art and finished renderings of work that my good friend and very talented illustrator/artist Shanth Enjeti has been pestering me to post. Since I'm in the business of property development, the prevailing dogma says "Don't share anything publicly that you don't want used by someone else!" I think that we are now living in an age where putting your work out there for a larger community than just your clients is the right thing to do. I am inspired by work I see others posting and hope that some of what I do also adds to the energy and excitement. I hope you enjoy the strange things that come out of my head from time to time. Just found some wonderfully creative metal and glass sculptures by an artist named Evan Chambers. Would love to have one of these lighting up my side table.

Additionally, Tom Banwell is doing some fantastic work on making masks from leather and various castings and forms that he creates. I'm a detail-crazy person and Tom's work is true art with an industrial backbone.

Thoughts on posting story and art work

I'd like to take a moment to speak to some of the unique aspects surrounding this, and other projects that are being developed open to the public to view concepts as well as images in high resolution without the annoyance of watermarks.

I post high-resolution images so that visitors can see the detail I put into these paintings. You are all welcome to use them as screen savers or share them on your blogs. It's an honor for me to have so many members of the community find meaning or fun in what I'm doing. One of the rewards of developing this project openly has been the outpouring of enthusiasm and support that has given me such encouragement to keep the development going and to keep sharing it.

As a result of the feedback, as well as the development and publishing inquiries I've received, I feel that it has become necessary to briefly clarify the terms of use for the images and concepts shown on this site. The specifics of this project's concepts and the images created for it are protected under copyright, and may not be used for other projects in any capacity unless you contact me and get my permission. This is out of respect for the concept of sharing with the larger community, the actual work and art, myself, and those who have expressed interest in becoming involved in the development of this project in other media.

This project has already taken on a vital life of it’s own, and I am continually surprised and humbled by it all. I want to express my sincere gratitude to all of you who have taken such great care to post link-throughs and acknowledgement when you put any of this work on your sites and blogs.
